Jinesh Revagar

Jinesh's work may seem a little dark and eerie at first, but most of the concepts and stories are usually uplifting.  Interested in Religion and Faith, Jinesh is a great story teller in his work.  The process of using mixed materials are spontaneous which makes them calm and relaxing.  Complimenting these qualities, his illustrations are surreal and very, very dreamy.

This is what Jinesh told me about the work featured below:

These are illustrations I did for Edgar Allan Poe's poem 'Alone'. I wanted to highlighted the romantic and almost surreal language used in the poem through my illustrations. This project was also an attempt to provide an alternate visual style for his poems, as his poems are usually interpreted as depressing and grim.

"And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view."

On his website is a HUGE archive of his beautiful escapism work, HERE.
